How To Create A Money Altar

with Rachel Peavy

Whether or not you believe in Magick, a money altar can be a powerful tool to help begin to shift your mindset with money. An altar is a sacred space. A place that you can come to during the day to focus and meditate. A money altar can be a place where you tend to your relationship with money and remind yourself of the things that bring you bliss.

A money altar can help to shift your mindset with money.

HOW IT WORKS
When we start to view money less as an inanimate object and more like energy, we can start to cultivate a mindset and environment that allows that energy to flow more freely.

KEEP IT SIMPLE
Your altar doesn’t need to be elaborate – you can find a small space on a desk or bookshelf and have a few items intentionally placed together. Take a little time each day to light a candle on your altar and “tend” to it. Tidy up any dust and rearrange the items if you feel called to do so.

ALTAR INSPIRATION
*Plants – any kind that you love to represent growth and abundance. Succulents can be really sweet in this space and don’t require too much daily watering.
*Candles – White, green and or gold. You can even purchase specific abundance or protective candles from your local mystical shop.
*Crystals – Pyrite is particularly shiny and abundant feeling, but you can select any gemstones that feels abundant to you.
*Money – place a few bills or coins on the altar. Use the real thing—no monopoly money here!
*Herbs and spices – Some that are associated with abundance include allspice, cinnamon, cloves, ginger and mint.
